The Twyn School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its children and young people. We expect all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment and the school has a comprehensive Safeguarding Policy that links to a range of policies. These are all designed to provide ‘wrap around care and support’ for all children.
As part of our curriculum activities we have well-developed personal and social programmes. Children learn how to cope with any problems they may face in life and how they can become valued members of our society. We have nurture groups and Circle Time activities where pupils can explore their feelings, views and beliefs in a non-threatening situation.
Trained members of staff support pupils who may, from time to time, require a little additional support. This is provided through attending our Student Assistance Programme (SAP) and nurture groups.
