This term we are covering the theme:

We experienced a Rainforest Roadshow and were able to make jewellery, draw and even stroke some real rainforest creatures!
Here is a link to lots of facts, websites and fun activities to do outside of school.
(While I checked the weblinks in April, they are subject to change without warning so, as always, please monitor your child’s activity when using the internet.)

Here are a few ideas for you to do over the holidays to really make our classrooms look and feel like rainforests!

Create some vines and plants out of tissue paper or old textiles.
-
Create some animals to hide in our rainforests.
-
Find or make some rainforest sounds and record them to really bring the room to life!
-
Make some scent bags of smells we may find in the rainforest (nice ones please
). -
Take photographs of plants and foliage for us to turn in to window panes. Click here for ideas
-
Gather up rainforest-coloured and textured materials.

Find old artificial plants and leaves.
Finally bring in all of your creations and discoveries to class on our first day back. We cannot wait!
